"Bless the Broken Road" Nominated for Dove Awards

"Bless the Broken Road" has been nominated for song of the year at the Dove
Awards, which recognize achievement in the Christian music industry. Written
by Marcus Hummon, Bobby Boyd and Jeff Hanna, the song was a country hit for
Rascal Flatts and was recently released by the artist Selah on an album of
duets. It is also nominated for pop-contemporary recorded song. Selah's duet
partner, Melonie Crittendon, released the song as a single to country radio
in 1998. In addition, Alan Jackson's Precious Memories and Alabama's Songs
of Inspiration are among the nominees for country album. The Dove Awards
will
be presented April 25 in Nashville.

Charlie Louvin Releases Duets CD

Charlie Louvin, a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, released a
self-titled album of duets on the Tompkins Square label on Tuesday (Feb.
20). His
singing partners include Bobby Bare, Elvis Costello, Tom T. Hall, George
Jones, Tift Merritt, Will Oldham, Jeff Tweedy and Joy Lynn White, as well as
members
of Clem Snide, Bright Eyes and Lambchop. Louvin lives in Manchester, Tenn.,
and will perform there at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in June. He is also
showcasing
at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference in Austin next month.
Charlie and Ira Louvin came to prominence in the 1950s as the Louvin
Brothers.
One of the most influential vocal duos in country music history, they
charted a No. 1 hit in 1956 with "I Don't Believe You've Met My Baby."

CMT Music Awards Performers, Ticket Sales Announced

Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Sugarland and
Dierks Bentley are the first round of performers to be announced for the
2007
CMT Music Awards. Additional performers and presenters will be announced
soon for the awards show airing live April 16 from The Curb Event Center at
Belmont
University in Nashville. Jeff Foxworthy returns as host for the third
consecutive year. Tickets go on sale March 3 and will be available online at
CMT.com,
