HELPFUL TIPS YOU CAN USE WHEN MAKING STEW   
* To save time, buy fresh or frozen cut-up or chopped   
vegetables from the produce section or salad bar of your   
supermarket.   
* Don*t cheat on cooking time - simmering over low heat   
helps extract the maximum flavor from the ingredients.   
* Chill overnight in the refridgerator. The fat will   
rise to the surface and solidify. You can skim off the   
fat and discard.   
* For thickening with a flour mixture, prevent lumps by   
mixing the flour thoroughly in cold liquid before adding   
it to the boiling mixture. To prevent a starchy flavor,   
heat the thickened liquid to boiling before adding to   
the pot.
