I just lost 2 friends within three days of each other, and it was such a shock! One died of congestive heart failure, the other, not quite sure. I know he had no family here, and they first thought he had a stroke, when he was hospitalized, he is totally blind, and when it came time for him to leave the hospital, they deemed he could not take care of himself, and zapped him in a nursing home. he said if he had to go to one of those places, he would rather die. He did his physical therapy, and whatever they wanted him to do, I spoke with him a few times via phone, said I would come to visit, was so involved with family matters, time did not allow me to do it, and now he is gone, and I can't; there, too, the weather was bad, and I had a slight head cold, and did not want to go there and bring the germs to him, now I feel badly that I did not see him, but we did talk! Life is so fragile, and so short, we need to make time for all these special people out there. Hi, this is indeed a wonderful list, with such loving, caring people. I will be praying that the news received today by Frank is positive. I have lived with loved ones, family members having and succumbing from cancer, and walk with you through the valleys, if ya know what I mean! It's rough and one needs all the hugs, love and support he/she can get! We are all here for you. My dad died of prostate cancer, which metastasized, but he played ostrich, and denied he even had it, and refused biopsies and all treatments, until he felt so sick it was too late to help him and it had metastasized to his colon and bones and liver. It more than likely could have been dealt with had he listened five years earlier. Thank you, Steve, for sending this message. My husband has had two prostate surgeries in the past, but they have not been cancer. He has to see a surgeon today a t 12:30. He had a CAT Scan on Tuesday of his stomach, prostate, and colon. I ask for everyone to pray for him and pray that I'll have the strength to endure whatever happens. Thank you all for caring and I feel friendships with everyone on the list. I was afraid I'd be asked to leave the list and I would hate for that to happen. Everyone is so friendly and that means so much to me at this time especially. Thank you again, Steve.
