  Turkey A La King

  Serves/Makes: 6 | Ready In: 30-60 minutes

  Ingredients:

  1 chicken bouillon cube
  4 ounces sliced mushrooms
  1 cup half and half
  4 tablespoons butter
  1/4 cup flour
  1/2 teaspoon salt
  1/2 teaspoon paprika
  1 dash black pepper
  1 teaspoon grated onion
  1/4 cup chopped pimentos
  2 cups diced cooked turkey
1/2 cup stuffed green olives, sliced
  1 tablespoon vermouth

  Directions:
Drain canned mushrooms, reserving liquid in small saucepan. Add enough water
to the mushroom liquid to make one cup liquid. Dissolve bouillon cube in
mushroom liquid over medium heat. Add half and half.

Melt 3 Tbsp. butter in the top of a double boiler. Add four and salt until
blended. Add bouillon mixture and cook, stirring constantly until mixture is
thickened. Add seasonings and turkey. Keep hot in top of double broiler over
hot water.

Meanwhile brown mushrooms in remaining butter. Add to cream turkey along with
pimentos. Just before serving, add sliced olives and vermouth. Serve over patty
shells or golden toast points.
