MOCK MARZIPAN Ingredients: 2 ounces margarine 2 tablespoons water 2-3 teaspoons of almond essence 4 ounces sugar or golden syrup 4 ounces soya flour Method: 1. Melt marg. in the water, add essence and sugar or syrup, then soya flour. 2. Turn on to a board and knead well. 3. Roll out; cut to a circular shape with the tin the cake was baked in. 4. Smear the top of the cake with jam then cover with marzipan. 5. The cake can be topped then with icing. WWII Recipe
