You know, that lady has since passed away, and I swear, everytime I write the word history in any application, I think of her bad day at work! She was a very sweet Indian lady named Irene Chockley and whenever they had parties, she made the best desserts and little treats. ----- Original Message ----- From: kay scrimshaw To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, March 27, 2007 4:06 AM Subject: [RecipesAndMore] Re: Hi Sly Hi sandy, hahahahahahaha thanks that's given me a laugh first thing in the morning. I've done it myself on many a time when i've not been concentrating on the keyboard. Just curious! It's easy to transpose letters; my husband worked as a medical transcriptionist years ago; he passed away in 1990; when he was typing, they had those pieces of correction tape that you put between the ribbon and paper, and wrote the wrong thing, your error, which it whited out and appeared on the correction sheet, and then when you took it out, well, the correction would appear on your document. I don't know if I should share this, but will, and if in poor taste, forgive! Ignore, delete! this lady named Irene had a bunch of the correction tape pieces of paper in the trash and lying on her desk with the letters shit shit shit written all over them. Another lady who came to work when Irene's shift ended, and took over at Irene's desk before Irene left out the door, noticed all the pieces of correction tape with that word written on it, and quizzed Irene about it! Irene said she had had one of those bad days, and transposed letters every time the form she was typing required: history and Physical; she had transposed letters in history, so you did not do too bad, L.R.! smile! this really did happen!
