April Fool's Grilled Cheese
one packaged, old fashioned pound cake 1/2 can (12 oz.) whipped vanilla frosting red and yellow food coloring Combine vanilla frosting with several drops of yellow food coloring and just a few of red. Mix together, adding more color if necessary, to make frosting the color of American cheese. Cut pound cake into 12 slices. Toast until slices are golden brown. Spread a layer of frosting onto one slice. Top with another. Cut in half diagonally and gently press on bread so frosting oozes out a bit and looks like melted cheese. Makes 6 sandwiches.
