Honey Custard French Toast This is a wonderful breakfast or brunch for the whole family. The honey makes it just a little extra-special. Rating * * * * *: Serves: 6 Prep. time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 5 to 10 minutes 1/2 cup honey1 cup milk6 eggs1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1/8 teaspoon salt12 slices French bread, , about 3/4 inch thick1 tablespoon butterhoney, , optionalToasted pecan pieces, , optional In a large, shallow bowl, beat together the honey, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and salt. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and turn to coat. Heat some butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the bread for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until browned. Serve the French toast with more honey and sprinkled with pecans.
