These cookies should be frosted with a cream cheese frosting but if you don't want to frost them you could dip them in sugar. My friend who gave me the recipe did not dip a glass in sugar and press them down but it wouldn't hurt if you wanted to do that. They are very good and I thought you guys would enjoy the recipe. Do you have to frost them? ----- Original Message ----- From: Joyce Porter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 22, 2007 1:15 PM Subject: [RecipesAndMore] Butter Cookies > > > Today a friend at church brought these cookies. > 5 cups flour; > 2 eggs; > 1 cup unsalted butter; > 2 tablespoons milk; > 1 teaspoon cream of tartar; > 1 teaspoon baking powder; > 1 cup powdered sugar; > 1 half teaspoon salt; > > > Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional; > Continue beating until very fluffy; > Sift dry ingredients together in a separate bowl; gradually add to butter > mixture.
