1-2-3-4-5 CAKE 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 3 cups flour 4 eggs 5 teaspoons baking powder 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix butter, sugar and eggs in a large bowl. Next add vanilla extract. Stir in milk and then baking powder. Fold flour in gently. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until cake center bounces back from slight pressure. There is no specific cake pan called for in this recipe and there is no baking time given. I've heard my great grandmother talk about baking this cake but I was too little then to pay much attention.
