GARLIC BUTTER FOR FRENCH BREAD

  1/2 c. soft butter
  1 (or more - to taste) crushed garlic clove
  3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  1 tsp. dried marjoram
  1/4 tsp. pepper and a dash of cayenne

Mix well. Spread on French bread; cut part way into 1 inch slices. Sprinkle 
bread with a little water and heat, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 
15 minutes. 

(A jar of this in the refrigerator and French bread in the freezer make a handy 
emergency "addition" when a little more is needed. Sealed in a jar it keeps 
indefinitely.)
