Grilled Flank Steak Flank steak is an inexpensive cut of meat that benefits from marinating. Rating * * * *: Serves: 4 Prep. time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes 1/4 cup lime juice2 tablespoons Crisco® Vegetable Oil2 tablespoons Oriental sesame oil3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce2 inch piece fresh ginger, , thinly sliced2 scallions, , chopped2 stalks lemongrass, , thinly sliced, optional6 sprigs fresh coriander1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes2 pounds flank steak Combine all of the ingredients except the steak in a large non-aluminum container. Add the steak and turn to coat in the marinade. Let the meat marinate while the grill heats. Heat the broiler or light the charcoal grill. Broil or grill the steak 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, brushing occasionally with the marinade. Let the cooked steak rest for 10 minutes before cutting it into thin slices. Spoon a little marinade over the steak, discarding the ginger and lemongrass, and serve.
