VIRGINIA MALT VINEGAR DRESSING
¼ cup cider or wine vinegar
½ tsp dry mustard
½ tsp salt
½ tsp sugar
1/8 tsp ground white pepper
½ cup vegetable oil
Combine the vinegar, mustard, salt, sugar, and pepper in a ½-pint jar
with a tight-fitting lid; cover and shake. Add the oil; cover and shake
well. For different flavoring, add 3 tablespoons of any of the
following—pickle relish, horseradish, honey, tomato juice—and shake
until combined.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons because, to them, you are
crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
