Chocolate Chewies
3/4 cup butter, softened
1-1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup powdered cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
12 ozs. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup pecans, chopped
Cream together butter and sugar with an electric mixer, add eggs, flour,
cocoa and baking powder and beat until blended. Stir in chocolate chips
and pecans. Drop tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake
at 350 for 8 - 9 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for several minutes
before removing from baking sheet.
