Bring to a boil the following:

2 sticks butter or margarine

1 cup water 

1/4 cup cocoa.

Beat 2 eggs; add 

2 cups flour,  

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp salt.

Add the chocolate-cooked mixture and then add 1 tsp baking soda.  

Mix all ingredients very well.

Bake cake on a lightly greased and flour 10 by 15 inch jellyroll pan at 350 
degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of 
cake comes out clean.  

While the brownie cake is baking, prepare the frosting.  

Bring to a boil the following:

1 stick butter or margarine

1/4 cup cocoa

5 tbs milk.  

Remove from heat and add:

one, 1 pound box Confectioners' sugar.  Mix well.  

Frost brownie cake as soon as you remove it from the oven.  Let cool before 
cutting into squares.
