Clint Black's New Single Is First He Didn't Write
Thu. June 14.2007 6:50 PM EDT

Clint Black has released a new single, "The Strong One," from his album due
later this year. It's the first single in his 18-year career he didn't compose.
The song was written by Bill Luther, Don Poythress and Chuck Jones. "It's one
of those songs ... I wish I had written," Black said. "I knew I had to record
it and that I wanted it to be the first single from my new album. Searching for
that song has been one of the most humbling experiences I've had in this
business."
