Hamburger Pie

1 pound of hamburger
1 1/2 cups Minute Rice (has to be the quick cook kind)
14 ounce can tomato sauce
3/4 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or Parmesan whatever you have)
1 cup of water
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. marjoram
Dash of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste.

Mix together meat, 1/2 can of tomato sauce, seasonings.  Press into a
9-inch pie plate or a glass rectangular pan.  Mix the other half of
the tomato sauce, water, and 1/2 cup of cheese with rice.  Pour over
meat.  Cover with foil and bake for 3/4 of an hour at 350 F.  Take
out and uncover and sprinkle the top with the remainder of the cheese
and bake for 15 more minutes. I serve it with a salad or some sliced
tomatoes and cucumbers and it makes a great meal.  I imagine that if
you would like you could make it with ground chicken or turkey as
well. I hope that this works for you.  Just put it in the freezer
either as a whole or individual servings whatever works for you and
you can microwave it or reheat it in the oven.
