Meat and Potato Pie 1 pound extra lean ground beef 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1/3 cup ketchup 3/4 tsp. salt 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables 1 3/4 cups water 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. onion powder 3/4 cup milk 2 cups mashed potato flakes
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, ketchup and salt and mix well. Press this mixture in bottom and sides of ungreased pan. Bake for 10 minutes. In medium saucepan, combine vegetables, water and spices, mix well. Bring to a boil, and remove from heat. With fork, stir in milk and potato flakes until they are at desired consistency. Remove beef crust from oven and pour off any drippings. Spoon potato mixture evenly onto the baked meat crust. Return to oven and bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until crust is cooked and vegetables are done. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
