Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies
Source: Betty Crocker A brownie classic! Who can resist rich cream cheese marbled through rich fudgy brownies? 1 box Betty Crocker(r) Original Supreme brownie mix with chocolate syrup pouch 1/3 c water 1/3 c vegetable oil 2-4 eggs, divided 1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, softened 1/3 c su! gar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease or use cooking spray bottom of 13"x9" rectangular pan. Stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup, water, oil & 2 eggs for fudgelike brownies or 3 eggs for cakelike brownies in med bowl, using spoon, until well blended. Spread in pan. Beat cream cheese in med bowl with electric mixer on med speed until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat in vanilla & 1 egg just until blended. Pour cream cheese mixture over brownie batter in pan; cut through mixture with knife several times for marbled design. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 35-40 min or until cream cheese mixture begins to brown & toothpick inserted in brownie 2" from side of pan comes out clean or almost clean. Cool completely. For 24 brownies, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store tightly covered & if desired, in refrigerate. High Altitude (3500'-6500') Follow High Altitude directions on pkg for cakelike brownies. Bake 37-41 min.
