Grandmothers's Oatmeal Cookies
Source: Clean Home Journal The smell of these warm, gooey cookies coming fresh out of the oven takes you right back to your grandmother's kitchen. 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp salt 1 c raisins 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 c flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 c butter 1 tsp cinnamon 1 c brown sugar 3 oatmeal 1 c granulated sugar 1/2 c chopped walnuts, optional Combine eggs, raisins & vanilla. Let stand 1 hr. Thoroughly cream butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar & salt. Sift flour, baking soda & cinnamon into creamed mixture. Blend in eggs, raisins & vanilla mixture with oatmeal. Dough will be stiff. Spoon onto cookie sheet.
