Ever So Good Golden Brownies

1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
1-1/2 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c. chopped nuts

        Melt butter. Remove from stove and add brown sugar and vanilla. Beat
in eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg
mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into lightly greased 9- by 9-inch pan.
Bake at dg350 25-30 minutes.

        Yield 18.
