SUMMER FRUIT DESSERT SOUP

2 tsp. arrowroot
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/4 c. water
2 tsp. barley malt
1 stick cinnamon
8 whole cloves
2 1/2 to 3 c. fresh fruit cut in bite size pieces
In saucepan mix together the arrowroot and lemon juice until smooth.
Stir in water, barley malt, cloves and cinnamon stick. Stirring
constantly, bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and, still
stirring constantly, cook five minutes longer to blend flavors. Remove
from heat; discard cinnamon stick and cloves. Stir in fruit. Chill.
Serves 3 to 4
