CHOCOLATE JUMBOS

 

3 to 3 1/2 c. flour

1 1/2 tsp. soda

Pinch salt

1/2 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. cool coffee

3/4 c. cocoa

1 c. sugar

1 c. shortening

1 egg

1/2 c. molasses

1 tsp. vanilla

 

Sift dry ingredients. Set aside. Mix cocoa and coffee, set aside. Cream 
shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla and molasses. Add coffee-cocoa 
mixture,

stir in dry ingredients. Dough can be chilled even as long as overnight. Roll 
and cut out with round cookie cutter with hole in middle. Bake at 350 degrees

for 8 to 10 minutes. Frost when cool.
