She is doing really good right now. Yesterday was not a good day for her, she swelled so bad on the face she looked worse than the day of surgery. She is able to walk better[ the bone come from her left hip] and she's starting to talk a bit more too. The next 3 months are gonna be really hard for her and us. # weeks of nothing but liquids in a cup, no chewing of any kind, blender food is all she can have.Also no spoons,or straws. After 3 weeks and her follow up[Aug.29th] she can start having soft foods. But for 3 months,, she cannot have any kind of contact sprots, no bike riding,skatebroading,no running, jumping on the tramp,no climbing trees, no P.E. no basketball,nothing that can hit her mouth and damage the mouth area. She is NOT gonna like that at all,, right now she is not up to doing any playing,, but soon she wil l be and won't be able too.She can't start school when the others do, not till after her follow up the 29th. Then I will have to take her lunches and make sure she brushes at school after she eats and rinses her month afterwards. My mom, &Tims mom went to Iowa City with us. Tims mom stayed in Iowa City till Weds. My mom and Tim came back to Boone on Tues evening, mom had to go back to work on Weds. morning. I am so glad this part in over now, But she ain't out of the woods yet, if this bone don't take, and I pray it does, then it will have to be done all over again. The doctors say after the first time its not as easy the next time.So still need prayers that this will be effective and she will be done till she is a teenager. Next will be reshaping her nose. Hope everyone is doing good and trying to stay cool with all this hot heat.
