Crisco*s(R) Sweet Potato Crisps
The kids will love these. They are a great alternative to french fries.

Prep. time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
3 medium or 2 large sweet potatoes or yams3 tablespoons CRISCO(R)
Oil*1/4 cup granulated sugar1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon salt
Heat oven to 450ºF.
Peel sweet potatoes; cut into slices 3/4-inch thick.
In a small bowl combine sugar, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
Pour Crisco Oil into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish; heat in 450ºF
oven for 3 minutes. Remove pan from oven. Arrange sweet potato slices in
single layer; return pan to oven.
Bake 10 minutes. Turn potatoes with slotted spatula; sprinkle potatoes
with sugar mixture.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes more, or until potatoes are browned. Drain on
paper towels. Serve immediately.
*Use your favorite CRISCO Oil.
