PECAN STICKS
1 c. unsalted butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped pecans or other nuts
1 c. confectioners sugar, for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
and salt in three parts, mixing well after each addition. Beat in the
vanilla and stir in the pecans. Chill
dough 15 - 20 minutes.
Measure a tablespoon of dough, and shape into a cylinder about 2 inches
long and 1/2 inch in
diameter. Repeat until all dough is used. Arrange cookies about 1 inch
apart on an ungreased cookie
sheet or one that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake 10 to 12
minutes, or until they are a
golden brown. Cool on wire racks and roll in the confectioners sugar.
Makes 30 cookies
