Apple Pie Like Your Grandmother Used To Make
Pastry for 9 inch two-crust pie
2 tablespoons Equal(R) MeasureT OR
20 packets Equal(R)
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 dash salt
6 cups tart apples (4-6) Granny Smith --
pared&thinly sliced
1 tablespoon margarine
Preheat oven to 425ø F. In a mixing bowl combine Equal(R) MeasureT,
flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Add dry mixture to apples; toss
gently to coat fruit. Fill a pastry-line 9-inch pie plate with apple
mixture; dot with margarine. Cover with top crust that has slits cut
in it; seal and flute edge. Bake 15 minutes at 425øF; turn oven down
to 350øF and bake an additional 30 minutes. Serving size: Yield:
