What about using those little pouches. I use those to run the dishwasher.

The best cleaner for dirty pans, crock pots, etc. is dishwasher soap! Just
put about a tablespoon full into the pan with some hot water and within a short
period of time the baked/dried/cooked on food just rinses right out! It's
amazing!
