Chicken With Pecan Stuffing

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
3 c. seasoned stuffing mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. water (perhaps a little more)
1 beaten egg
optional, 1 small can water chestnuts drained and chopped
or 1 small can mushrooms drained
1 apple, cored, peeled and chopped

        Combine all ingredients, except chicken. Divide and shape into four
equal parts. Mound these parts on a lightly greased baking sheet. Top
with chicken breasts. Cover with foil. Bake at dg350 for 40 minutes,
remove foil and bake 20 minutes longer until chicken is golden brown.
