Thu. October 25.2007 5:14 PM EDT

Trace Adkins will release American Man, Greatest Hits Volume II on Capitol
Nashville on Dec. 4, rather than an album of new material. The collection offers
three new songs, including "I Got My Game On." Hits on the CD include "Ladies
Love Country Boys," "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," "Hot Mama," "Arlington," "Chrome,"
"I Wanna Feel Something" and "Swing." In a press release, Adkins says the delay
on the studio album is due to "a pressing career opportunity," but no further
details were provided. He released his first volume of hits in 2003.

Alison Krauss' Manager to Be Honored by Scruggs Forum
Thu. October 25.2007 5:14 PM EDT

Denise Stiff, the longtime manager of Alison Krauss, will be honored at the
inaugural Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum on Nov. 13 at the Country Music Hall
of Fame and Museum. In 1955, Scruggs was the first woman in country music to
book and manage a musician's career -- that of Flatt & Scruggs. "Denise has
done wonderful things for Alison and for traditional music," said Earl Scruggs.
"Louise would be pleased to know that Denise was selected for this first
forum in her honor." Stiff was executive producer of music for O Brother, Where
Art Thou? and producer of the Down From the Mountain tour.
