Church window cookies.
1 stick margarine or butter
1 large package chocolate chips
1 cup nuts chopped
1 package colored marshmallows miniatures
cook butter and chocolate until the chips are melted. take from the stove
and add nuts. after it has cooled 5 minutes.
add the marshmallows.
coat waxed paper with 10-x powdered sugar, and roll mixture in this. form
in a roll and chill. slice when cold.
I have not done this one in a long time because Glenn will not eat
chocolate. I found that it was good to have the marshmallows cold before
adding them to the hot chocolate goo. Also I always came out better making
two rolls instead of one big one. When they are sliced, the marshmallows
are framed in the chocolate and they are really pretty. If the nuts cost
too much, you can skip them, I often do the cookies are rich enough
without them.
