You can use the plastic handle for those 6-packs of cans as a 
scarf tidy.

Store batteries in the freezer to extend their life - thaw for 
an hour 
before using.

When you get a hole in your rubber glove cut the fingers up to 
make elastic bands.
Keep the odd glove & eventually you might make up  another pair.

Pop candles in the freezer - they will last longer when burning.

Bleach is just as good and a third of the price of expensive 
toilet cleaners.

Syrup drained from canned fruit can be mixed with milk and make 
into ice lollies using moulds.
Or you can freeze the syrup in ice cube trays to add extra 
flavor to  summer drinks.

Cut the green ends off carrots before storing
as this will stop them 
from drying out.

To make melba toast
cut stale bread into 1/4s and bake in low oven 
until crisp.

Keep all small "ends" of cheeses and freeze. They can then be 
added to cheese sauces.

Don't throw away bananas that have gone brown
- freeze them in their 
skins to use in cakes and tea-breads later on.

If your family like the fresh orange with "bits" in,
mix 1/2 & 1/2 with cheaper orange juice
&keep in a jug in the fridge - they will never know!

Use old CD cases for modern photo frames.

Don't buy expensive textured paint
- simply mix enough builders sand to get the desired effect.

Instead of buying tile stick-ons
make your own buy cutting out shapes 
from "self-stick" borders found in bargain bins at DIY shops.

Cant afford tiles but like the look?
Use tester pots of paint 
(or left-overs) & sponge onto walls using pan scourers (the green ones 
with sponge on one side)

The same pan scourers
can be cut to make simple stamps to decorate walls.

Use aluminium ring pulls from cans as picture hooks

Use cheap shampoo in a pump bottle
rather than paying for handwash.

To make leave-in hair conditioner
mix 1/3 hair conditioner with 2/3 water
& put into spray bottle.

If you don't have any nail varnish remover,
paint another coat on and 
quickly wipe off - both coats will come off.

For expensive smelling bath oil
- save the free perfume samples you can get
and mix with 2 capfuls of baby oil and use in bath.

Grated cucumber is good for sunburn.

Tape on of those free paper perfume samples you get in magazines 
to the inside of your toilet roll - every time its pulled it releases 
the fragrance.

You can add food colorings to kids baths - even turns the 
bubbles a different color!

Keep the Happy Meal boxes from Burger King or McDonalds
- they make ideal picnic boxes or can be filled with a small treat
for an un-well child.
