HANUKKAH CUT-OUT COOKIES
These golden, honey-flavored cut-out cookies are a traditional Hanukkah
treat.

min
Yield: 2 dozen cookies
1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened1/4 cup
honey1 egg yolk1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking
powder Decorator sugars, if desired
Combine sugar and butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping
bowl often, until creamy. Add honey and egg yolk. Continue beating until
well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour and baking powder. Beat,
scraping bowl often, just until mixed.
Divide dough in half; wrap in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate until firm
(at least 1 hour).
Heat oven to 400°F. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface,
one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), to 1/8-inch
thickness. Cut with 2 1/2-inch cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on
ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with decorator sugars, if desired.
Bake for 7 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 1
minute before removing from cookie sheets. Cool completely. Decorate
with frosting, if desired.
