Neurologists advise that if they can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours, they can totally reverse the effects of the stroke..totally. The trick is recognizing, diagnosing as a stroke victim and then getting the patient medically treated within 3 hours, which is tough. Doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions. STR Ask the individual to SMILE Ask the individual TALK; speak a simple sentence coherently Ask the individual to RAISE BOTH ARMS If the individual has difficulty with any of these tasks, call 911 immediately and Describe the symptoms. A cardiologist says that if everyone who gets this email, sends it to 10 people; you can be sure that at least one life will be saved Another indication of stroke is to ask the individual to stick out their tongue, if the tongue is crooked or falls to one side or the other this may indicate the individual has had a stroke.
