A FEW TIPS FOR BAKING BREAD: * Brush melted butter over the tops of breads and biscuits as soon as they are removed from the oven. This will make the crust soft and full of flavor.
* Put a cake pan about half full of water in the oven while baking bread. This will provide enough moisture to keep the crust from drying out too much. * Mix a pinch of salt with one egg and brush over biscuits (scratch or pre-made) before baking to make a beautiful golden crust with a hint of egg flavor.
