Carrie Underwood will be headlining more than 30 concerts beginning in February during a tour with opening act Josh Turner. The shows are in addition to her co-headlining tour with Keith Urban that begins Jan. 31. Tickets to six of Underwood's Carnival Ride tour dates go on sale Saturday (Jan. 12), including shows in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (Feb. 18), Albany, N.Y. (Feb. 19), Amherst, Mass. (Feb. 20), Pittsburgh (Feb. 22), Providence, R.I. (Feb. 24) and Bridgeport, Conn. (Feb. 25). In making Monday's (Jan. 7) announcement, Underwood said, "I'm so excited to be hitting the road and doing the full show of my music that I have always dreamt of doing. I have been so fortunate to learn from so many other great artists while touring with them, and they have inspired me in so many ways. They have helped me to get to this stage of my first real headline shows, and now I finally feel ready. I can't wait to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada and see all my fans." Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Kick Off Houston Rodeo Mon. January 07.2008 6:41 PM EST Although they're billed to perform on separate dates, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will kick off the concert series at the 2008 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo which runs March 3-22. McGraw is set to perform March 3, while Hill is scheduled to appear March 4, concert organizers announced Monday (Jan. 7). Country music dominates the event at Reliant Park in Houston, but the series also features several non-country acts. In addition to the McGraw and Hill shows, the schedule includes Kevin Fowler (March 5), Alan Jackson (March 6), John Legend (March 7), Martina McBride (March 8), Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana (March 9), Sugarland (March 10), Rascal Flatts (March 11), John Fogerty (March 12), Toby Keith (March 13), Clay Walker (March 14), Brad Paisley (March 15), Duelo and Los Horoscopos de Durango (March 16), Miranda Lambert (March 17), Big & Rich (March 18), Fergie (March 19), Dierks Bentley (March 20), Pat Green (March 21) and Brooks & Dunn (March 22). Tickets go on sale Saturday (Jan. 12) via Ticketmaster locations. However, sales for the Miley Cyrus concert will be restricted to season and mini-season tickets. A public drawing was previously conducted for individual tickets to the Cyrus show. Garth Brooks, George Jones Plan CRS Visits Mon. January 07.2008 6:41 PM EST Garth Brooks and George Jones will be making appearances during the upcoming Country Radio Seminar taking place in Nashville. Taking place March 5-7, the convention will attract radio programmers and personalities from throughout the nation. Brooks will answer questions from audience members during the seminar's opening session on March 5. Gerry House, morning show host for WSIX-FM in Nashville, will conduct the interview and moderate the discussion. Jones, who has complained that country radio stations will not play records by older artists, will also field questions during a panel discussion titled "Life of a Legend." The panel will also include Nashville veteran Norro Wilson, who produced five of Jones' albums.
