golden oat biscuits:

1 cup(4oz) sr flour
1 cup porridge oats
1/2 cup sugar

4oz marg or 2oz butter and 2oz marg
1 dsp tracle
1tsp bicarb
1tbsp boiling water

method:

mix all dry ingredients except bicarb in a bowl.
melt marg and syrup in as pan.pour boiling water over bicarb and mix.
mix all ingrdients together to form a stiff paste.
roll into small balls and place well apart on baking trays.
bake for approx 10 mins till golden.
