PALENTA AND SAUCE

1 lb. sausage
1/2 onion
1 lb. can tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 can water
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. parsley
1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

PALENTA:

1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. boiling water

Brown sausage. Add next 7 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 1 1/2 hours or until 
thick. Stir occasionally. Skim off fat. Set aside. Combine meal, cold water,
and salt. Stir in hot water and cook until thick. Cover and cook over low heat 
45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into 9 inch pie plate. Cool 5 minutes.
Cut into wedges. Pour sauce over and serve with a salad.  Enjoy.
