Neil Diamond Duets With Natalie Maines on His Next CD Tue. April 08.2008 4:03 PM EDT
Neil Diamond's upcoming album, Home Before Dark, will feature a duet with Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines on the song, "Another Day (That Time Forgot)." The album is slated for a May 6 release on Columbia Records. Produced by Rick Rubin, it's the follow-up to his 2005 album, 12 Songs. Guitarist Mike Campbell and keyboardist Benmont Tench -- both of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers -- appear on the album as well. Rubin also produced the Dixie Chicks' most recent album, Taking the Long Way. Emmylou Harris' New CD Due June 10 Tue. April 08.2008 4:03 PM EDT Emmylou Harris will release a new album, All I Intended to Be, on Nonesuch Records on June 10. She recorded the project with producer (and former husband) Brian Ahern. She will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this month. Harris released a five-disc boxed set, Songbird, last year. Her most recent album of new material was 2003's Stumble Into Grace. Guests on the new album include John Starling from the Seldom Scene and Kate and Anna McGarrigle. Jeff Bates, Hayes Carll, James Otto Release New CDs Tue. April 08.2008 4:03 PM EDT Jeff Bates, Hayes Carll and James Otto all released new albums on Tuesday (April 8). Bates' self-titled collection (Black River) includes the single, "Don't Hate Me for Loving You." Carll's Trouble in Mind (Lost Highway) features "She Left Me for Jesus." Otto's Sunset Man (Warner Bros. Nashville) includes the single, "Just Got Started Loving You." In addition, Jypsi has digitally released its self-titled album (Arista Nashville) with the single, "I Don't Love You Like That." Bluegrass releases include the Gibson Brothers' Iron & Diamonds (Sugar Hill) and Longview's Deep in the Mountains (Rounder).
