Green beans with ginger and mustard

Serves 2 

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp mustard seeds 

200g/7oz green beans, trimmed and par-boiled

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp peeled and grated root ginger

¼ tsp salt

Method


1. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the mustard seeds.

2. A few seconds later tip in the beans with the cumin and fry for 1 minute. 

3. Stir in the ginger and salt and sauté over a low heat for 5 minutes.


 Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
