"M&M's"® Mini Chocolate Cookies w/ Icing
These frosted chocolaty cookies are a big hit anytime of year--vary the
color of the candies to match the season. To keep them moist, be careful
not to
over bake.

Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
12 ounce bag "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits

1-1/4 cups (281g) butter, softened

2 cups (450g) sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons  (10ml) vanilla

2 cups+ 2 tablespoons (450g & 28ml) all-purpose flour

3/4 cup (169g) cocoa powder

1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda

Remove red and green "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits and set aside
for decoration.

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).

In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into
creamed mixture. Stir in remaining "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits.

Drop teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 - 9 minutes.
(Do not overbake; cookies will be soft. They will puff during baking,
flatten upon
cooling.) Cool on cookie sheets, about 1 minute; move to wire rack to
cool completely.

Icing:
1/2 cup (113g) butter, softened
4 cups (900g) powdered sugar
2 teaspoons (10mL) vanilla
4 - 6 teaspoons (20 - 30mL) milk
Prepare frosting by beating butter with powdered sugar until smooth.
Stir in vanilla and enough milk for a spreading consistency; frost
cookies.

Glaze:
1 cup (225g) powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon (2.3mL) vanilla
2 teaspoons milk
4 teaspoons (20mL) cocoa powder
Prepare Chocolate Glaze by blending powdered sugar with cocoa powder,
vanilla, and milk until smooth. Place in zipper tight plastic sandwich
bag. Snip off
one corner of bag (no more than 1/8 inch). Holding top of bag, drizzle
glaze onto cookies; decorate with red and green "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini
Baking Bits.
