Hi Kay, Kristin will never be able to pick up her daughter, unless God steps in. She can't work anymore, she has to watch how she bends over, has to go to the hospital the minute her nose starts draining out that water-like stuff that she had before. Then, they will have to do the massive brain surgery. She still has the spinal drain pump in and we have no idea when she'll get out of the hospital.
Her two neurologists said that the hole they plugged will come undone. It could be today, next week, next month, or ten years from now, they just don't know. They just say that it will happen eventually. In between her eyes, on the inside, they said it is just like cottage cheese, from all the beatings she endured. I'm so appreciative for all the prayers and knowing I have friends I can talk to. Hi Friends, Kristin has had two surgeries since I last posted. After the last one yesterday, they plugged the hole in her brain, but they don't know how long it will last. She will be unable to ever work again, she is not allowed to pick up her 4-year-old daughter, Arianna, and is not able to be alone for quite sometime. She will have to apply for Social Security Disability. If the draining starts again, she will have to undergo major brain surgery. Her doctor was coming in this morning at 8:00 to tell her that she can't work and her mom, my sister, Kathy, is going to be with her when her doctor talks to her. I thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I thought things might be bad, but all these problems are related to excessive blows to the head. The doctor said that they would do all they could to help her obtain Social Security Disability.
