CHOCOLATE PASTRIES

1 3/4 oz good-quality dark chocolate
3 1/2 oz (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
2 eggs
good 3/4 cup sugar
good 1/3 cup almonds, ground
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

Glaze:
good 3/4 cup powdered sugar
fresh orange juice

Decoration:
walnuts

Chop the chocolate and melt it together with the fat in a saucepan over
low heat. Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy and add fat and chocolate
mixture, almonds plus the flour mixed with baking powder. Pour the
batter in a well-greased and floured square-shaped baking pan and bake
in a 400F oven. Unmold the cake and let cool. Stir together powdered
sugar and orange juice to a smooth glaze and spread this over the cake,
then cut in squares (makes approx 16). Decorate each with a walnut.
