I think the eggs help it rise. You could put a little baking powder,
like 1/4 teaspoon and try that.

No, there was no cake mix mentioned here, just flour and chocolate
chips, 
oil, sugar, enough just to put into one! coffee mug and make one coffee
mug 
cake. no rising agent was mentioned in the first post of this, although
it 
did say in the recipe it rises above the cup. go figure. waiting for
more input; also one egg was mentioned.
