CMT Announces Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling

CMT's new series, Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, will debut on 
Oct. 18. The cast of 10 celebrity wrestling hopefuls will attempt to turn
themselves into professional-quality wrestlers. Hogan, former World 
Championship Wrestling president Eric Bischoff and professional wrestling 
manager Jimmy
Hart will judge the following contestants: former NBA champion Dennis Rodman; 
Bewitched actress Erin Murphy; Playboy playmate Nikki Ziering; Different
Strokes actor Todd Bridges; Super Heavyweight boxer ButterBean; reality TV star 
Trishelle Cannatella; Saved by the Bell actor Dustin Diamond; actor, boxer
and recording artist Frank Stallone; singer Tiffany; and reality TV star and 
radio host Danny Bonaduce.

Julianne Hough Records Christmas Album for Target

Julianne Hough will release a Christmas EP, titled The Julianne Hough Holiday 
Collection, exclusively at Target stores on Oct. 12. Selections include "Jingle
Bell Rock," "Feliz Navidad," "It Wasn't His Child/Mary Did You Know," "Santa 
Baby," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little
Christmas," among others. The disc is part of the NBC Sounds of the Season 
series. Target will also offer an album of new duets with Nat King Cole on Oct.

Johnny Cash, Gene Watson Spotlighted by Hall of Fame

Johnny Cash and Gene Watson will be the subjects of spotlight exhibits at the 
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this fall. Cash's exhibit, which will
be unveiled on Sept. 30, features a black gabardine suit designed by Nudie's 
Rodeo Tailors, a black leather duster designed by Manuel and a leather briefcase
bearing his initials, JRC. Watson's exhibit, slated for an Oct. 7 debut, will 
display a 1970s green suit designed by Nudie's Rodeo Tailors, a suede cowboy
hat with decorative pins and a floral-print Western shirt from the early 1980s. 
Watson has 21 Top 10 country hits, including "Farewell Party," "14 Carat
Mind" and "Love in the Hot Afternoon."

Old Crow Medicine Show Releases Tennessee Pusher

Old Crow Medicine Show released a new album, Tennessee Pusher, on Tuesday 
(Sept. 23) on Nettwerk Records. Don Was produced the album. Guests include Jim
Keltner on drums and Benmont Tench on Hammond C-3 organ. The band will 
celebrate the release in Boston with an in-store performance at Newbury Comics 
in
Faneuil Hall on Tuesday and a sold-out concert at Berklee Performance Center on 
Wednesday (Sept. 24). They will also appear on A Prairie Home Companion
on Oct. 4, followed by two concerts at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on 
Oct. 9 and 10.

Randy Rogers Band Releases New Album

Randy Rogers Band released a new, self-titled album on Mercury Nashville on 
Tuesday. It's their second release for the label. Rogers collaborated with
several Nashville co-writers for the album, including George Ducas, Radney 
Foster, Gary Nicholson and Stephony Smith. Other new releases include Stay 
Golden,
Smog: The Best of Golden Smog (Rhino), jazz bassist Charlie Haden's 
country-inspired Rambling Boy (Decca), John Oates' 1000 Miles of Life (PS 
Records),
Ralph Stanley II's This One Is Two (Lonesome Day Records) and Brooklyn-based 
Americana band Yarn's Empty Pockets (Ardsley Music).
