ENGLISH TEA MUFFINS
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. raisins (optional)
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Brown sugar
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Sift dry ingredients together and
add. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
