OLD FASHIONED DRIED APPLE PIES 

1/2 lb. dried apples
dough of your choice

Soak apples in hot water about 30 minutes. Drain off the water. Add enough 
water to cook apples. When done if there is too much water; drain off. Season
to taste with sugar and spice. Make dough recipe. Take a piece the size of an 
egg and roll it until it is the size of a saucer, laying crust on sauce plate.
Put one tablespoon of apple mixture on half of the crust, folding over the 
other half. Seal outside with fork prong. Cut excess dough. Fry in hot grease
at 400 degrees until golden brown. Turn over once and when done remove from 
heat.  Enjoy.
