PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Yield: 4 dozen 2-inch cookies
Temperature, 350F; Time, 12 minutes

1/2 cup shortening [I think I used butter]
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the shortening, peanut butter, and sugars together. Add the egg
and
beat well. Sift the remaining dry ingredients together and add to the
first
mixture. Add the vanilla and form into small balls. Place on a
greased
baking sheet and press each ball flat with the prongs of a fork. Bake
at 350
degrees for 12 minutes.

A single candle can illuminate an entire room. A true friend lights up
an entire lifetime. Thanks for the bright lights of your friendship.
