Description
This delicious candy melts in your mouth!
Ingredients
4 cups granulated sugar
2 cans evaporated milk
1 stick of margarine
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
Combine sugar and evaporated milk in a large pot and mix until sugar
melts. Put the pot on the stove on high heat. When mixture begins to
boil lower heat for 10 minutes, stirring so mixture does not stick.
After 10 minutes, add margarine. When mixture begins to boil again, time
for another 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Then, add pecans. This is
when you really have to stir. Cook for another 10 minutes. You can then
test, by dropping a few drops into a cup of cold water. When the mixture
forms a ball, pour into a greased (with margarine) pan and let cool.
Mixture should set in about 5 minutes. Cut into desired size squares. I
usually get about 30 pieces. Enjoy.
