That was also a problem last summer right here in Oklahoma! Ooooh, noooo! no moth balls around my! house! I know! they do the trick, but my sons are totally allergic to them, the napthalene in them. mom used to have her entire house smelling like moth balls, she would spray the granules wwith an attachment for her vacuum cleaner, and say it keeps away the moths; she would spray the closets, and just about everywhere, and the smell reaked and was there almost forever, terrible; when the kids came over, they almost were wheezing by the time they left her house; she often would want to give them an extra quilt or blanket to take home, as she was clearing out things, and no matter how often I washed the stuff, that moth ball smell lingered! thanks for the black pepper remedy for the ants and other critters.
